The AILAB has been actively involved in the European Research Area since 2000, receiving funding in the Framework programmes FP5, FP6, FP7 and now in H2020.
The European Research Area (ERA) is a system of scientific research programs integrating the scientific resources of the European Union (EU). It promotes multi-national co-operation in various fields of research. Its purpose is to increase the competitiveness of European research institutions by bringing them together and encouraging a more inclusive way of working. ‘Framework programmes’ (FPs) have been the main financial tools through which the European Union supports research and development activities covering almost all scientific disciplines.
The AILAB also actively participates in national and international scientific, applied and industrial projects.
