Dr. Inna Novalija

Dr. Inna Novalija works as a senior researcher and advisor at the Department for Artificial Intelligence, Jožef Stefan Institute.

She is an expert in research and development in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Her key competences include Machine Learning, Data/Text/Web Mining, Semantic Technologies, and Data Visualization. In particular, she is working on utilizing text analysis techniques for modelling and forecasting and data mining techniques for developing applicable tools and technologies.

Inna holds a PhD degree in Computer Science and MA degree in Economics.

She participates as a team leader and team member in EU projects, national and international projects and supervises and leads MA and PhD Students, as well as presents her research at national and international events.

She is a program committee member of international conferences and reviewer of several international journals.

In 2012-2013 Inna was a Visiting Researcher at Knowledge Media Institute, the Open University, UK, working in the area of Semantic Technologies and Semantic Web.
